San Diego 2013 - Beach Fun & Jocelyn's Birthday

We visited the beach a lot during our vacay. The weather wasn't always hot but we still loved it! We especially loved playing in the sand. If the water was too cold to venture in before, it didn't matter once we were covered in sand. I guess it was a good way to get us swimming! We visited La Jolla Shores and Mission Beach throughout our stay.
Here's my kid building a sand castle :)

Jocelyn worked really hard to make this moat work and had to go back and forth from the water a lot of times to get what she wanted

La Jolla

This day was the day of burying each other. Chantel was the first victim. They dug a big hole...

and then Chantel disappeared! She looks happy here but she was really saying "Hurry and take the picture so I can get out!"

Proud of their project

Then Jocelyn wanted a turn and because she's little they went for the whole body cover. She also was freaking out at the end.

Then Braden decided that he's "not claustrophobic at all" and wanted to be buried to prove he wouldn't freak out at the end like Chantel and Jocelyn. Yup...too bad that he was. He didn't freak out but everyone that got buried was more than ready to get out at the end.

I posted these photos before in my 32 week post but google plus conveniently made them into a GIF for me. Check out those preggo moves!

La Jolla Shores has tons of seals around that come in for the night beginning around 4. We had a fun time watching them for a while. They were funny to watch as the tried to get up on the rocks and just laid around, swam and barked at each other

Jocelyn also celebrated her birthday while we were gone. "Little" Jo-C is 11...how did that happen!?

Happy Birthday Jo-C!
