Phil is a man, and due to his latest project, he has been upgraded to
MANLY-MAN.
Our tent/car is now a car again. No camping out in the car anymore cuz we are legit.
Fixed and legit.
We opted out of the $325 option and Phil took on the task of re-doing the fallen car roof. After about $75 and some labor for Philly-boy, the car is back to normal.
Fabulous!
Here is the headliner board once we got it out of the car...that was tough!
There is supposed to be foam on the fabric but it has disintegrated into the orange bits you can see everywhere.
Then the headliner pre-sanding and post-sanding. Phil worked hard to get all the gunk off.
A coat of spray adhesive to attach the new material and VOILA!
Then he cut back the edges and the anchor points.
Now it's ready to put back in the car.
And there it is! HE DID IT!
It's nice to have the car looking presentable again and it always feels great to save some cash.
Plus...now I have a manly-man in the house.

PHIL!!! I am very impressed! Must be nice to drive around without having the roof touch your head!
ReplyDeleteAmazing! Kev should be jealous.
ReplyDeleteKaylee Jo. Your manly man here - just goes to show you can be a manly man and still use ladies scented body wash! I'm on a horse...
ReplyDeleteYes, very impressive. Such satisfaction knowing you did it yourself.
ReplyDeleteI know who to call on if anything breaks here... Or if I want to go on a world wide scavenger hunt ;) good job Phil!
