Bumpin'

Well here we are at week 22. Crazy! It still hasn't hit me that I have a baby coming/living inside of me. I mean, I know I'm feeling different, but a baby?! Psh. :) 

So Bump is almost 1 pound and is certainly letting me know she's there on the outside and inside. From the outside, I think my belly has now "popped".  Now people don't have to think "Is she pregnant?", because I've definitely got a round shaped, firm tummy. From the inside, in the last month I've been able to figure out what is bump moving and what...isn't :). I've discovered that sugar of any kind will usually get her swimming but if I ever want reassurance to make sure she's still there, give me some orange juice and within 10 minutes she's a movin'. Sometimes I ask Phil to put his hand on my belly to see if he can feel her squirming (because honestly with how I feel the movement, I can't see how he can't) but not yet...soon though!

We had our 20 week ultrasound 2 weeks back. We've yet to get official word from the radiologist but so far, so good! We did a gender check at 16 weeks but Bump wouldn't have it. She crossed her legs and only gave us a 95% that it was a girl...yeah, we definitely didn't rush out and buy anything with that. I mean, 5% could make it a boy :) so, we waited patiently for week 20 to try again. I may or may not have O.D.-ed on the orange juice before the ultra sound to make sure we had a mover and we'd get a good look at what we needed. Ha, maybe not so much next time! The ultrasound tech kept saying, whoa, baby keeps moving. We were satisfied though that with all the moving, no shot showed any "signs" of a boy...so, as I posted earlier it's a girl!

I can't complain with how I'm feeling. I get tired quicker than I did before pregnancy, and sometimes have mild heart burn but other than that I'm feeling good! I just have to remember to eat slowly and small amounts-Bump wants the goods but doesn't like food taking up her space so its a balancing act.
