So it kind of hit me today that I'm actually in my third trimester of pregnancy! We're now in for bi-weekly doctor visits, more kicking and squirming and the doc said contractions may be on the way! At our last doctor's appointment everything measured perfectly and little Bump's heart was just thumping away. Sometimes I can honestly say that I don't feel much different, but then other times I most certainly do! I guess I mainly just get tired quicker than I'm used to. I love being busy busy busy so I'm learning to try to listen to my body a bit better before its too late and I'm sore and exhausted. :) My stomach did get really tense to where it was uncomfortable (near the bottom of my belly) while Phil & I were on a walk the other night. Sign of things to come maybe?
I've been noticing how thick my hair has gotten these days...meaning its hot! Haha. My hair has always been thick but pregnancy...whoa. I have more hair than I want! I know people have told me they love what pregnancy does to their hair but I already have enough...and now I have more! I guess it's good for when it falls out during nursing time? I don't want to complain but let's just say that my hair is always in a ponytail or bun so far this summer, and sometimes those bring headaches too.
As of now (28 weeks) our little Bump weighs around 2.5 pounds and is blinking, kicking, coughing, kicking, hiccuping and wait, did I mention kicking? Bump must want to be a dancer or boxer because jeez, she's moving and kicking a lot! The doctor did tell me I have an posterior placenta so that places Miss Bump right up front for me to feel everything. I'm grateful she's letting me know she's there and healthy but sometimes I just want to poke her back :) The best remedy for crazy Bump is Phil's hand on my stomach. I tell him to feel what she's up to and its like that's her cue to back off. She has still let Dad know she's feisty but will often calm down with his hand around. Maybe I'm sentimental but I find that to be precious. :)
Anyway, that's the update this week. And here's the classic belly pic of me and Bump in all our 28 week glory.
